Our first of 3 rallies of 2010 met with very mixed weather conditions. The first was at Fillongley Village Hall. The rally started in torrential rain and sadly only 8 vans ventured out for the weekend. On Saturday some took a mystery bus ride in the care of the rally officer, unaware their return journey would be by taxi as the buses had stopped running. The rally was hosted by John & Margaret Deakin who provided some warm drinks and toast on Friday evening and a Soup and roll on Saturday.

 

We then ventured to Burford School for new hosts Fred and Chris Allen. They did an excellent job for their first rally as hosts. Friday was the usual bingo, with some members not knowing the difference between red and green. Saturday night started with Champagne and Cake reception as it was Christine birthday. Then we enjoyed a night of Dog Racing which also raised funds for our charity.

 

With snow on the ground 14 vans went to Wolston Latvian Centre. Your hosts were Marcus and Rene Cook. On Friday evening there were some strange conversations between members and their shadows, sorry Adrian had to mention it. Saturday the site was virtually emptied with most going to Coventry or Rugby by bus. On Saturday evening we celebrated a late Valentines Day with some lovely music.
